Letting Go of My Nikon D5000 DLSR Camera

After years of creating memories together, I finally decided to let go of my trusty Nikon D5000 DLSR camera. It was not an easy decision and it took me a good 6 months to decide.

Don't get me wrong. I am still very much into photography and enjoy taking photos especially when I am travelling. However, over the years, I noticed that I am becoming lazy in taking out my DLSR. We are after all in the age where the cameras on our phones also produced equally good quality non-professional visual outputs. The fact that we carry our phones with us all the time, using the phone camera has become almost second nature. It got to a point that I felt carrying my DSLR is such a chore, unless I am going out specifically to shoot.

After noticing such behaviour, I have decided to 'downgrade' in size and invest in something that is equally powerful. Based on my frequency of usage, I think a compact system camera is more than sufficient to meet my photography needs. There are so many in the market and it will be a matter of me choosing one pretty soon. I have not bought a replacement just yet, however, I already have my eyes set on a particular made - watch this space! :)

I can't wait! x
