Liberty for Anthropologie Collaboration

When two of my favourite stores, Liberty London and Anthropologie, collaborated, I felt like I died and went to interior design heaven. I actually thought of freezing my debit and credit cards in the freezer, ala Shopaholic series, because before I even saw the collection, I knew I would want to add everything to my shopping cart.

Described as the heirloom-worthy collaboration blooms, the Liberty for Anthropologie collection featured Liberty's iconic prints in all shapes and sizes, encompassing furniture, soft furnishing items, kitchenware, candles and stationery. There is bound to be something for everyone, I am sure.

Upon seeing the collection on the website, on the day it was launched, I was immediately drawn towards kitchenware, stationery and candles. But upon seeing them in person at the Anthropologie store on Regent Street, I decided to give the stationery a pass. As much as I love the prints on the cover, it was designed in the form of a binder which would not work for me. It will just be too heavy to be carried around day-in-day out.

The coffee mugs and the bowls became my immediate favourite especially after realising that the size of the bowls is bigger than I initially thought. When I saw them online, I thought there could only be used for serving finger food, when in reality they are the perfect size for serving noodles with broth or not. And as I have been in the market for proper Asian noodle bowls, it was a no-brainer to take them home with me.

I also contemplated the candles which come in three scents - Sparkling Pear, Lemon Leaf Sea Salt, and Pomegranate Casis, but at £28 each, I feel they are too much of a splurge. Having said that, it has been a week, and I am still thinking about them. The scented candles are encased in beautiful printed ceramic with cover, and I love all the three designs - Strawberry Thief, Peacock Orchid, and Wilshire Berry. At the time of writing, I have a feeling that there is a slight chance that I might cave in, maybe, just maybe. Let's see...
