Current Make Up | September 2015

Current Make Up September 2015

For some reasons since September I have simplified my everyday make up look. When I say simplified, I don't mean that I use less products on my face; it just means that I use less hassle and easy to apply products so that I can get more time sleeping than spend more time getting ready.

For my base, I am currently using the Laura Mercier Primer with their foundation in the shade Nude, which is a nice alternative to my usual Chanel Vitalumiere foundation.

For the eyes, this month, I have really been rocking the no make-up eye make-up look. After applying the trusty Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion to mattify my oily eyelids and to ensure that the eyeshadow stays in place all day, I simply apply the Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow Stick in the shade Golden Rose which gives a nice shimmer no colour look on the eye lids. Before the eyeshadow sets I quickly smudge it with my fingers to ensure an even application on the lids.

I then apply black eye liner to define the eyes without creating an overly dramatic effect. Funnily enough, I have never been an eye pencil kinda girl, and I have always use either gel or liquid eye liner. However, at the moment I am really loving pencil eye liner as not only it is easy to apply but also the fact that it is almost error proof.

I finish off my eye make up with two coats of the Roller Lash mascara from Benefits.

For my cheeks, I have been really enjoying the Clinique Blush in the shade Aglow, which I am sure is a free gift from one of my Clinique purchases. This is a lovely peachy-pinky shade with a hint of glow (hence the name). It has a nice amount of shimmer to give a dash of highlight and define the cheek bones.

To compensate for the very light make up on the eyes and the cheeks, I finish off the look by applying Bobbi Brown lipstick in the shade Burnt Red. I have only recently discovered this shade which is a nice colour as we transition into autumn. I have also been receiving compliments from my colleagues when I put this shade on, which is definitely a sign of approval (not that we need any!).
