4D3N in Vienna, Austria

One of the things I love about living in London is knowing that other European cities are just a stone throw away. Ok, more like a plane ride away.

For my birthday this year, I decided to treat myself for a trip to Vienna, the capital of Austria. Other than being known as the City of Music, due to its music legacy - think Mozart and Beethoven, - others also refer to it as the City of Dreams because it was home to the well-known psycho-analyst, Sigmund Freud.

Jewellery | Every Day Pieces

When it comes to accessories and wearing jewellery, I definitely fall in the wear-the-same-thing-everyday-until-I-am-ready-to-switch-things-up camp! One thing you need to know about me is that a) I am not a morning person and b) I love a good lie-in. As such, no matter how hard I try, I always end up getting up in the morning just in time for shower, get ready and dash out of the door.

So while I do 'mentally-plan' my outfit the night before while I lay in bed, I wear the same jewellery pieces every day until such time that I feel the others need to see the light of days too.
Aligned to my personal style plus my lack of effort to switch things up, my choices of jewellery tend to fall into the classic, delicate and timeless pieces.

At present these are the pieces I use as part of my everyday wear:

Essie and OPI Nail Polishes | Favourite Shades

My love for nail polish is pretty much driven from my high maintenance nails. My nails are often weak, easily chipped and if that is not bad enough, my cuticles are thick, dry and grow fairly fast too. I have tried almost everything to address these issues, and I have come to accept the fact that professional manicure is the only way to keep my fingers looking pristine.

As I live in London where manicure and pedicure can be a bit on the expensive side, I have found a routine that just about work - fortnightly manicure and monthly pedicure. I've noticed a big difference in the condition of my nails since incorporating this routine (and budget!) as part of my beauty regime.
