Empties! 5 Beauty Products I've Used Up

Empties

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you are having an enjoyable long weekend, no matter what you have planned.

As the weather is glorious in London, I am aiming to keep this post, short and sweet. We all very much rather spend our time outside basking in the sunshine, surely?

In today's post, I am talking about five beauty products that I have used up, recently!

As a beauty and skincare obsessed, I find that my bathroom cabinet is overflowing with products.

So earlier this year, I made a promise to try and finish off as many half-opened and half-used beauty or skincare products that have been laying around taking up space in the bathroom cabinet. As long as they don't cause any reactions to my skin, I should use and finish them off.

When I set the intention, my aim was twofold. One - to not waste the money spent purchasing these products and two - to declutter the bathroom cabinet.

I was determined that it is achievable, and equally, acknowledged that the process would take longer than a traditional method of decluttering, say of a wardrobe for example. I can't simply create a 'throw away' or 'donate' pile.

However, like most things in life, consistency and perseverance do pay off and here are the five beauty products that I've successfully used up recently.

Clinique Smart Custom-Repair Serum | This took longer to finish as I tend to only use it for daytime even though it can be used both day and night.

Bobbi Brown Skin Intensive Supplement Serum | The serum has a distinct scent, but very hydrating for the skin. My skin seems to love it and absorbed the goodness of the serum in hardly any time at all.

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate Oil | The scent has a calming effect on me and seems to send signals to my brain that it's bedtime. Most of the time I use it on its own as the last step in my skincare routine, but when laziness strikes, I tend to mix a few drops with my night cream.

Clinique All About Eyes | Regular and old-time readers of this blog will know that this is my #cantlivewithout item in my skincare routine. For me, this is by far the best eye cream that seems to reduce puffiness, especially in the morning.

Elizabeth Arden Intensive Moisturising Hand Treatment | My hands and cuticles are dry and my nails are weak and brittle. I've also learnt that scented hand cream tends to make matters worse so this non-scented one seems to work for me; albeit a bit on pricey for a hand cream! (Given there are many other affordable options in Boots :-))
